ShopBop #StyleHigh and accessorise! Why you should switch up your usuals to something a little bit more daring.
Hey Foxes,
I know what you're thinking, are you CRAZY?! ha! A little, but sometimes we get so used to similar outfits that we can forget that it can be fun to try different styles and colours in our wardrobe. We're all about our "signature look" or "investment pieces" that we tend to forget that it's OK to be different or to try a different style of clothing or a trend we wouldn't usually go for.
We should embrace different styles and trends we don't usually go for, why should we keep being safe with our fashion? Let your alter ego style take over for once and you'll be amazed at the result and surprised with what you might've thought wouldn't look the best to something that looks fantastic on you!
My inner arty little foxy self-burst with excitement when I saw these mismatched earrings from Isabel Marant. I love her designs and these earrings were something I'd never dare to wear, but I felt my art teacher alter ego say "Do it, wear them! THEY'LL LOOK AWESOME". Alter ego was right, they do look hella cool! I love them, they're dainty but express a part of me that I rarely show now. I'm glad I took the plunge and picked them because now I wear them regularly.
Another key piece of something I never buy is white booties because we've been told: "white gets dirty". Yes, they can, but not if you spray protectant! These studded white pointed booties from Sam Edelman were such a statement too! I love styling them with my jeans, it just gives my casual outfit such a pop!
So, what are you waiting for? #StyleHigh with Shopbop and try something a little bit different that your alter ego currently craves!

How To Prepare For Fashion Week
Fashion week is one of the most exciting time. I love the energy of the events, I admire the different runway shows and concepts, and I really adore seeing the latest fashion and makeup trends walk down the runway. I've been attending fashion week for years now. I wanted to give you a few of my own tips that I've learnt along the way for you to be prepared.
We've all been there, we've all had our doubts in what we've chosen for the show and how we secretly want to be photographed candid #streetstyle while in our best outfit. So, how do you prepare? How do you get rid of all your concerns about attending fashion week?
Firstly prepare your outfits at least a week before, don't be like me and be last minute. I've been there, it's so stressful and I've noticed that's when the doubts creep in a little quicker than usual. Your room will most likely be a mess too, and you'll feel rushed. When i'm not planning outfits last minute, I like to hang my outfits on the rack, take photos and try them on to see what will suit. I create at least three different outfits for one event, in case the weather changes. I check the weather too the night before, it's so unpredictable.
2) Fashion week is a time for experimenting with your outfits and accessories! It's so fun to dress up, you can wear literally anything out of the ordinary. Wear something that you enjoy wearing, and that you'll be comfortable with. I enjoy wearing "loud" pieces of clothing during fashion week, colourful, prints you name it I'll wear it. Just be you and be confident.
3) Charge your camera and phone or bring a portable charger. Oh and bring another SD card just in case your first one gets full quickly by all the photos you've snapped.
4) Make sure you have all your dates and runway shows written down in your diary or phone.
5) Gather the crew. This is meant to be fun too, if you have your friends with you to attend the runway shows, it'll be less daunting and enjoyable.
And lastly, HAVE FUN. Enjoy the runway. I like to take a few photos/videos and then upload them after. I use to be glued to my phone and I wouldn't enjoy the experience! But now I photograph my key looks and enjoy the rest.
PS
If you're looking for a statement outfit then check out Revolve Clothing! They have an amazing range of designers and styles. These jeans that i'm wearing are from my favourite brand GRLFRND denim.

Shopbop: #StyleHigh with Marc Jacobs
I want you to think back to a time when you felt your heart flutter when you wore the perfect outfit. It's a great feeling, isn't it? It's not an impulsive feeling, but it's a sense of euphoria that great fashion makes us feel. For me, this feeling comes when I find the perfect bag to have by my side whilst strutting down the city streets to attend events, meetings or even for a cheeky cute lunch date. I want to feel fashionable, powerful and most of all, happy!
So when I was scrolling on Shopbop, I started to feel my heart flutter when this Marc Jacobs beauty caught my eye. Soon, like always, my mind began to race and flicker through when and where I'd wear this. The colour was just perfect, but most of all, I pictured my #StyleHigh moments wearing this. I could picture myself at an event with this epic bag. The statement strap crossed over my black blazer, making a scene to make heads turn and wonder.... who is that fashionable babe?... That's when I feel confident in my #StyleHigh moment. Of course, it'll go with every outfit, I thought to myself as my mind started to wander into fashion utopia.
Have a little scroll, you're bound to find something on Shopbop to have your latest #StyleHigh moment too.
I want to be a blogger too. PART 1
Disclaimer: Everything written below are my own words based on personal experiences
Fashion blogging, travel blogging, review blogging, blogging. It's hit an all-time phenomenon and every single one of us can be a blogger. We hear how saturated the market is, how it's 'too hard' to break into it, but if you're passionate about it and you just want to write to get your digital voice out there, then you're on the right track.
Creating a blog with the one aim to be 'insta-famous' is not the way to go, it's a cool ambition, but these things do take time and honestly, after four years I still feel like I'm trying to break the ice on the interwebs.
So you want to be a blogger?
Firstly pick a niche market that you're interested in. Chances are, out of the millions and billions of people out there, they'll be interested just as much as you are. Once you've identified what you want to write about pick three social media platforms you want to dish out on.
If you're wondering why I'm writing this and saying "Aren't you scared of competition?" No, not really, because we're all different and we all have a different tone of voice.
Social media platforms.
Think, do I want to use Instagram? Pinterest, Youtube, Tumblr, WordPress, Squarespace, LiveJournal, facebook?
Pick only three of these platforms, that you want to focus your energy on, or even two when you're just starting out. This will keep up your personal motivation, you'll be able to focus on your main platforms. Sometimes you might not see results within a week, a month or even a year. But if you pursue, and keep writing and posting your content, eventually you will be found, heard and read.
Proofread your work.
Having someone read over your work is the best way to not only make sure you have zero errors in your work, but it also helps you learn and grow and to accept constructive criticism. It's OK for your proofreader to have an opinion, don't take it to heart just take everything as advice. Get your mum, friend, boyfriend, girlfriend or even your grandmother to have a read over it. They don't have to be professionals, as long as they understand your work, then the rest of the world will too.
This can be hard because sometimes you might not feel comfortable having a friend read your work. I like to use Grammarly to help me with correcting my work on my own. I also will take a break from my work for a few hours, watch Netflix and then I'll come back to my piece and read it out loud. I try to get out of my mind, so to speak when correcting my own piece.
Structure your blog posts, have flow in your writing.
You literally have less than 5 seconds to grab someones attention with your writing, so kick start your piece with something exciting, punchy and entertaining. You don't want to read a piece that drains you right? So don't post up that one up! Use adjectives describe every moment, let your words sing.
EXAMPLE
What we don't want.
We went travelling, it was fun. Saw big rocks, they were cool.
What we want
Today we went travelling, it was the first time in ages I could wear a t-shirt, I could feel the hot air skim my shoulders whilst we trekked the hike. The view was phenomenal, I felt the world under my feet as i glanced at the never-ending blue sky.
See the difference?
Content is the key!
You want visually appealing images with your blog posts. They both work hand in hand with each other. Now at first, you might not have a crazy expensive camera, using your iPhone is just fine! Or, if you're looking to splash a little cash, then have a read on my Olympus camera review, because this little baby does the job.
When you feel confident, then I suggest investing in a DSLR camera. I use the Canon 6d.
Post constantly.
With this new kind of articles, I'll be able to post twice a week.
Try to aim twice to three times a week on your site for posting. If you can't do that. then at least try to post up once a week.
Then share your links through your two-three media platforms.
Hope you enjoyed part one, tune in next week when I post part two!
I've cut this up into sections because I don't want to write a mouthful. Also if you have any q&a you'd like to send me, feel free to shoot me an email leblondefox@hotmail.com, and I'll answer your question in the next post.

Why I love statement boots with Terry De Havilland
When I wear the ultimate statement boot, I often feel that I can take on the world without a problem, even if one comes my way, my stride walking down the street with my awesome booties makes me feel good.
I love how my outfit can be so simple, and yet the shoes will be the main star of attraction. Some days I want my shoes to speak for my own personal style and these babies from Terry De Havilland do just that. A UK based brand that knows style.
The brand has graced the feets such as Lady Gaga, Cara Delevingne Kate Moss, Led Zeppelin, Bianca Jagger and the late rock music legend David Bowie. I feel honoured, although I'm not even close to these stars, knowing that this brand has been worn by these legends, makes these shoes not just special, but extra special.
So next time you decide to pick up your usual go-tos, why not try something different that stands out.

PUMA X GLUESTORE: Stand tall in sneakers not heels
Stand tall in sneakers not heels
We sometimes think that our inner strength is by wearing our heels, and that being taller makes us stronger or confident. This is a complete opposite for me, as I feel courageous in sneakers. Being confident is a hard thing to be, we are surrounded by so much noise that can pull us down.
Not only it's yourself who holds inner strength, but it's the way you present yourself. When I wear sneakers, I feel more confident than ever.
How can we be confident in ourselves?
Think positive about yourself. You can be your worse enemy when it comes to self-criticism. You can change your mindset and once you start to love yourself and be proud of who you are, it'll shine through.
Block out negative thoughts and negative opinions.
Surround yourself with positive people who put you up, not down. Perhaps it has happen to you before, or it's happening now. People seem to be really good at putting down others, but not giving them credit or gratification. Throw those people in the bin, not only are they annoying, but they're bringing you down.
LOOK...BE...FEEL CONFIDENT

REVIEW AUSTRALIA: Why it's OK to change up your personal style
Staying true to your personal style is a definite thing, but perhaps what would you think if I said it's OK to try a different trend that's out of your comfort zone, or to wear whatever you want just because you feel like it.
It's totally ok to change up your personal style, although some might disagree and say "stay true to your signature style" then you're putting blinkers (only seeing what's in front and they aren't distracted by other trends) on from outfits that could well suit you, and might even surprise you.
Some days, I'll want to be a rockstar, I'll wear a leather jacket, my boyfriend jeans and a belt then at times, I'll want to dress feminine, almost a romantic style when it comes to shirts.
That means, bows on shirts, peter pan collars etc.
So when I slipped into this trench from Review, it was made to perfection. I instantly thought of everywhere and anywhere I could wear it. Especially in Melbourne, since the weather is so changeable.
This classic trench coat takes inspiration from the French staple, with grosgrain frills, buckle detail at cuffs and waistband.
I tend to wear a lot of darker colours, you know because it's a Melbourne thing! But, I figured, it's OK to dress it up a little, perhaps wearing pink might be my colour and not so 'legally blonde cliche'. When I put on this jumper from Review, I instantly fell in love. The lace detail and the Peter Pan collar had completely changed my mind about wearing pink.
That's why I love how Review lets me play with that feminine style that I crave for from time to time. We all have a personal style, and that's fine, but perhaps you should try something different for once, you might surprise yourself.
Review is now available in Boutiques, Online, Myer and David Jones

9 to 9 style with RUBI SHOES
I like to wear an outfit I can wear from morning to after 5. That's right! I'm talking about a solid outfit that I can wear from the early brisk cold mornings with a hot cuppa coffee in my paws, and into the evening of the dancing nights with the cool air and kicking up my heels with my girlfriends after a few coffee martinis.
You heard me right, it's coffee from sunrise to sunset. Perhaps that's why I'm usually hyper and so enthusiastic throughout my day..... Maybe I should cut down on that? Nahhhhh.
Besides being a coffee addict, I thoroughly love a versatile outfit that I can wear throughout the day. But it's the shoes that will be the make or break your outfit. I wore this outfit from day to night and all I did was change my shoes from Rubi.
MY 9 AM OUTFIT
I'm currently all for this 'casual Parisian trend' that we Aussies have slowly adapted to. This means cigarette jeans or 'mum jeans' with a sleek blazer and a basic coloured t-shirt/jumper to complete your très chic outfit and of course with a pair of comfy mule sneakers. For that fox on the go, I'd wear this outfit out for lunch, catch ups or even to a casual meeting.
MY 9 PM OUTFIT
I paired my très chic outfit with a pair of dusty pink mules. Giving it an overall glam night out look. You know, even just having these in the boot of the car will come in handy in case you have an important meeting to attend or a last minute invite to an event. This is my classic go-to winter outfit to go out to a bar with my foxes for a catch-up and laughs over coffee martinis.
It's amazing what a pair of shoes can do for your outfit.
